Sketchbook - Soldier

Hello guys! Another paint for the sketchbook, this one i try to fill as a film look portrait, the process was as follow. Started with gray scale tones, painting as a shape form, not exactly define the image, just a shadow, than put some high values still in gray tones, trying to define some edges and shadows. After that i use a color layer to start painting some areas and mix the colors of the face, the armor define one color  just to stay without not painting. Ok, the next step is the traditional parte, paint after paint and brush after brush, but maintaining the form.

Some specular helps in this moment, but just a little following the light key, the fireworks is a detail to fill the areas without details, for these i use some color dodge and linear. To finish i use the iris blur to turn the face more evidence and the mixer brush tool to make the skin softer and the hair more natural.

See you guys!

Below the images, thanks for watching!
